Management Team

Stephan Spies

Managing Director

Stephan Spies, executive chairman, is one of the most experienced and respected leaders in the Christian industry globally. He is trained as a theologian and holds a Master's Degree in Theology from Leiden (he completed his doctoral exams and served 10 years in the ministry). He also holds a MBA from Nyenrode University (Netherlands) and Yale-IM where he served for 10 years. Stephen has served in leadership roles throughout his life. He was Chairman of the Board of the Christian Products Network. He has won the prestigious International Abbey Botha Leadership Award and Bunyan and served as the CEO of Christelike Uitgewersmaatskappy (CUM) for the past seven years. In 2004 Stephen was honoured by MOPS, the Christian churches in South Africa. He is committed to spreading the Christian message with the regards to the best quality Bibles within the Christian industry.

Ewald Jansen van Rensburg

Non-executive Director

Top selling children's author in South Africa. Currently completing his PhD on the New Testament at Radboud University, Netherlands. Trainer at Life Framework in Somerset West. Years of proven experience in editing books (academic, Bible Helps, etc). With his family he travels daily and only eats what has been congregationally acceptable. Two fruitful ministry outreaches involved. Several ATKV awards for children's books.

Maryke Spies

Chief Operating Officer

Maryke Spies is a qualified Chartered Accountant. She completed her articles at PwC in 2015, after which she was appointed as Manager and later as Senior Audit Manager at the firm. She left PwC in 2019 to join the CMP Team, and she now leads the co-edition and turnkey project client services since joining.

Hyreath Lodge serves as Head of Publishing at Christian Media Publishing. She has extensive experience in Christian publishing, licensing, editorial management and project development. Her work includes overseeing the creation of Bibles, books and ministry resources, managing key publishing partnerships, and developing innovative publishing projects for local and international markets. Hyreath is passionate about making biblical content accessible to readers of all ages and helping Christian publishers collaborate effectively across cultures and languages.
